Academic Budget & Planning Functions

Provide essential service and support in forecasting and planning across colleges and administrative areas. By analyzing historical data, current trends, and future projections, the office equips academic and administrative leaders with accurate and actionable insights to inform decision-making. This collaborative approach ensures alignment with the university’s strategic goals, optimizes resource allocation, and enhances financial sustainability. The office works collaboratively with deans, department directors/chairs, principal investigators, and administrative staff to address budgetary challenges, resolve discrepancies, and optimize resource utilization. By facilitating regular budget reviews and providing clear financial reports, the office empowers colleges and departments to make informed decisions that sustain academic excellence and operational efficiency. This partnership fosters accountability and ensures the effective stewardship of university funds.

This includes assisting in the creation and monitoring of specific budget indices to ensure accurate tracking of revenues and expenditures. Faculty Budget Committee

The Faculty Budget Committee (FBC) represents faculty interests in university budgeting. Through participatory budgeting, the FBC gathers input, reviews funding requests, and makes recommendations to align resources with academic priorities. The committee also works with university leadership to promote financial transparency and literacy.
