International Students

Welcome to EWU!

No matter where you're from, the EWU community is committed to an amazing learning experience. Join students from more than 40 countries at our beautiful and safe eastern Washington campus. Applying as an international student can be complicated, but don't worry. We're here to help.

1

Make sure you have each of the following:

  1. A debit or credit card to pay the application fee ($60 USD)
  2. A passport (recommended)
  3. Original, official transcripts to show you meet the grade requirements
  4. Evidence to show you have English proficiency

An application for admission will be considered complete only when all of the required documentation is received. Because it takes a long time to get a student visa, students applying from outside the U.S. should apply as early as possible. Submitting fraudulent (fake) documents will result in automatic denial of application and/or dismissal from Eastern Washington University.

Complete the application

Ready? Complete the application for the quarter when you’d like to start at EWU.

You should apply as early as possible because of the extra time needed for preparing immigration documents and visa processing. International applications close one month before the start of the term. If you apply after the deadline, you’ll need to submit a new application for the correct term and pay a new application fee.
