Prepare You for Your Future Goals

Creative Writing at EWU is a studio program designed to help students publish their artistic work and sees many graduates finding diversified careers in editing, publishing, grant writing, teaching, professional schools and more. Students build the necessary networking opportunities and gain the real-world experience they need for success in the post-graduation job market by incorporating real-world internship experience into the curriculum.

We also offer an amazing MFA in Creative Writing program that provides the opportunity to apply for internships through the popular Get Lit literary festival, the internationally-respected Willow Springs Magazine and Willow Springs Books, and the Writers in the Community project.

The Creative Writing Program develops students’ abilities in creative writing in the genres of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction on a foundation of study of significant literary texts in British, American, and world literature.
