The Eastern Washington University Gallery of Art proudly presents Field Research, an exhibition of work designed to investigate the physical world by local artist Roger Ralston.

Beginning with an opening ceremony at noon, Wednesday, Mar. 13, in the EWU Gallery of Art, the exhibition will be open to the public Mar. 14- Apr. 25, 2019.

Ralston, who attained a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Lewis and Clark College and a Master of Fine Arts from Louisiana State University, has since had work featured in exhibitions spanning across the Pacific Northwest.

“I work in conversation with a tactile physical world, using a vaguely framed wanderlust of investigation,” said Ralston. “My work remains an oblique investigation of delight I find in the world.”

Students and community members are encouraged to visit the gallery and partake in Ralston’s romanticized interpretation of the world.

The Eastern Washington University Gallery of Art proudly presents Frontera, an exhibition of prints designed by 27 artists, all with different perspectives on the topic ‘Frontier.’

Beginning with an opening reception at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 23, in the EWU Gallery of Art, the exhibition will be open to the public Jan. 24- Feb. 28, 2019.

Students and community members are invited to view a variety of printmaking styles, presented by skilled artists from around the country.

“A frontier might have to do with open land, or it might have to do with new developments in a field,” said EWU Art Gallery Director Nancy Hathaway. “Artists were instructed to create artwork based on their interpretation of that theme.”

Those interested in other exhibitions presented by the EWU Department of Art can check out the schedule on the gallery webpage.
