Resources for Faculty & Staff

Collaborate with the Career Center

The most effective career and professional development happens when faculty, academic departments, and colleges partner with the Career Center. Together, we can embed sustainable career development into every student’s educational journey.

As trusted mentors, your role is pivotal in shaping students’ academic and professional success. Our goal is to support you in creating meaningful opportunities that help students become career-ready and achieve lifelong professional success.

Work with a College Liaison

Our College Liaisons are here to collaborate with faculty to enhance student success through career development. We offer tailored class presentations, workshops, and networking events on career-related topics such as resumes, interviewing, and professional development.

By partnering with us, you can help connect students with valuable resources, including the Eagle Career Network and employer relations support. Together, we can reduce the number of undecided students, provide impactful career education, and connect your students with internship and job opportunities.

Let us work with you to support students’ professional growth and strengthen connections between academics and careers.

Engage with Employers

Have you been wanting to connect with a certain employer, but don’t have the time?

Let us do the work for you! If we don’t already have a connection, our team is more than happy to research and start a new employer relationship on your behalf.

As we know, learning how to effectively advertise themselves to employers is one of the biggest challenges faced by our students, especially if they don’t understand how to talk about the value of their education. Inviting guest speakers to your class is one way to overcome this challenge.

We can help you connect with alumni and/or industry professionals willing to talk with your students about their opportunities, their career, their organization, or topics relevant to your class.

If an employer shares a job or internship opportunity with you, we are here to help get that information to students effectively

We encourage employers to post the opportunity on Handshake, our primary platform for student job and internship searches. If they need additional support with promotion through social media or email, they can contact the Career Center’s Employer Relations Team for assistance.

Below is a suggested message template you can use when responding to employers:

Dear [Employer Name],

Thank you for sharing this opportunity with me! If you haven’t already, please consider posting it on Handshake – —our go-to platform for students seeking opportunities like yours.

If you’d like additional help promoting this opportunity through the Career Center (via social media or email), I encourage you to connect with their Employer Relations Team.

Thank you again for supporting our students!

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
