A physical therapist (PT) is a health care professional that helps individuals maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and functioning, thereby enabling optimal performance and enhancing health, well-being, and quality of life. Their services prevent, minimize, or eliminate impairments of body functions and structures, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. PTs design individualized plans of care based on clinical judgment, best available evidence, and an individual’s situation and goals. They collaborate with other health care professionals, including supervision of physical therapist assistants, to address individual needs and provide efficient and effective care across the continuum of health care settings. We realize that one’s first job after graduating from a physical therapy program is a big deal! Let us tell you a little bit about our job opportunity for a new graduate at ProFormance Physical Therapy. Our clinicians have a combined 118 years of experience and all of us have been longtime Pullman Community Members. This position would be ideal for a new graduate whose priority is to accelerate their PT skills in a nurturing environment. We know that the reality of most outpatient settings, clinicians are so busy with patient care and documentation that the learning interactions with their co-workers can feel rushed or limited. Let us show you how we are different!
We have made a commitment as a group to bring a young PT onto our clinical team. In doing so, we have developed a program which will properly support our newest employee. Not only do we offer a generous continuing education package, but we will also schedule one-one-one meeting times weekly with a therapist (will rotate PTs each week). This time can be spent in any way the employee chooses to further their skills (i.e. practice manual skills, co-treat with a patient, review treatment plans or discuss a difficult case). We have also built in some extra paperwork time to help accommodate the time needed to learn the documentation system and get accustomed to a patient schedule. It is important to us that our new team member maintains a good work-life balance, enjoy their work and feel supported as they begin their career.
ProFormance PT is an independently owned outpatient private practice in Pullman, Washington, home of Washington State University. We have been providing exceptional care to our patients and community since 2005. We are looking for a PT who values customer service and high quality care and individualized physical therapy services.
