Dental Hygiene Students Celebrate Recovery

Saturday September 29th, 13 dental hygiene students, Professor Lisa Bilich and Clinic Supervisor, Jennifer Hinkle went to Hands Across the Falls to celebrate those in recovery. They handed out over 200 postcards to people who are seeking dental care. EWU Dental Hygiene faculty, staff, and students have provided and continue to provide dental care to people in recovery through a nationally recognized program called “Recovering Smiles” since 2014. Community-minded Enterprises whose mission is “to empower communities to improve long-term well-being through outreach, access and training” appreciates EWU dental hygiene as an integral resource for their goals of helping people become productive citizens.
