Add-on Endorsement in Special Education

In this endorsement program, you’ll get an introduction to early childhood special education. You’ll study teaching methods for different learning abilities and content areas. You’ll also learn about inclusionary practices and get experience in the classroom.

Special Education/Add-on Endorsement

Special Education Add-on Endorsement-For candidates who currently possess a Washington State Teaching Certificate.

This program meets the requirements for an endorsement in special education in the state of Washington.

The Special Education add-on endorsement prepares teachers for working with students with disabilities from P-12. The program focuses on the use of specially designed instruction in school settings.

Grade Requirements: a grade of ≥B- is required for each course in the Special Education/Add-on Endorsement.
