Requirements & Guidelines:

  • Be a current EWU graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MS) program in the School of Psychology
  • Be in good standing in the program, including a 3.0 GPA and successful completion of all sequential courses at the time of selection
  • Meet one (1) of the following requirements, listed in priority order:
    • a. Have served on active duty in any branch of the US Military and received an honorable discharge, or is currently in the National Guard or an active reserve unit. The former can be documented with a DD214 and the latter by a letter from the
      student’s unit commanding officer;
    • b. Be the biological or adopted child or spouse of a veteran as described above;
    • Be the first person in their immediate family of origin to attend any college.

Requirements & Guidelines:

  • The $1000 Len Stern Research Award was developed to support students pursuing research to prepare for graduate school/an academic career
  • Applicants must be juniors, majoring in Psychology, Applied Developmental Psychology, or Health Psychology

  • The Award is to support student research involvement including archival or new data collection
  • Two $250 grants will be awarded
  • Open to sophomore and junior standing  School of Psychology majors
  • Funds may be used to cover research costs and/or travel to a conference

Requirements & Guidelines:

  • Be undergraduate or graduate students majoring in behavioral health programs including Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Addiction Studies, or earning a Behavioral Health Support Certificate.
  • Recipients must also meet at least one of these following requirements:
    • Demonstrated financial need, with preference to those with financial need outside of Pell Grant eligibility
    • First-generation college student
    • Non-traditional student
    • Come from an underserved or underrepresented community

  • Must be a graduate student majoring in Psychology
  • Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need

Requirements & Guidelines:

  • Must be a graduate student working toward an advanced degree in counseling
  • Must demonstrate past or present volunteer or paid experience in a social service agency and/or be able to articulate career goals in the counseling profession

The Evoke Neuroscience Scholarship for Mental Health Professionals, valued at $1,000, honors and supports dedicated individuals in the mental health field. Through an essay contest, we seek to amplify insights, ideas, and experiences related to cognitive health, fostering knowledge exchange among professionals. If you’re a mental health practitioner committed to improving lives, we invite you to join us in advancing cognitive well-being through education and innovation.

This scholarship is available for students in the United States who are currently enrolled in a university or high school students who have plans to attend a university to study mental health.  The scholarship is meant to help a deserving student with scholarship funding who wishes to become a mental health professional.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 15, 2024.
