MSW Alum Appointed Assistant Secretary of Child Welfare Field Operations for Washington’s Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF)

Eastern’s own Natalie Green has been named the new Assistant Secretary, Child Welfare Field Operations for Washington’s Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF).  Natalie graduated from Eastern’s Master of Social Work part-time program in Everett. Natalie has over 20 years of service working with DCYF and Washington’s most vulnerable citizens. The importance of this role cannot be overstated, Natalie is the leader of Washington’s public child welfare system, the system in place to protect children from abuse and neglect. Natalie’s experience, commitment, and passion for the safety of children and child welfare make her a perfect fit for this critical role. Eastern and the School of Social Work are so proud of Natalie’s accomplishments and love seeing this eagle fly so high!
