About

Brian Davenport, PhD, is an educator, scholar, and practitioner of leadership and community engagement. He is the founding director of Eastern Washington University’s Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program. Previously, he served as the director of the EWU Office of Community Engagement. Dr. Davenport earned his doctorate in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. He also holds degrees from Whitworth University and the University of Puget Sound. He has published articles in numerous scholarly journals including the International Journal of Servant-Leadership, Leadership, Journal of Leadership Studies, Journal of Higher Education Outreach & Engagement, and the Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council. Dr. Davenport’s research interest focuses on the various intersections of leadership and community engagement.
