After relocating to D.C. from Seattle in 2017 and working for the U.S. Department of State, Dr. Knox returned to the Pacific Northwest where he’d spent several years in the retail, wholesale, and promotional sectors of the apparel industry. Dr. Knox has presented his research at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, the University of Laval in Quebec, the George Washington University, Textile Museum in D.C., and Ceara Global, Ceara, Brazil’s premier forum for attracting foreign direct investment.
Dr. Knox’s publications on international trade have positioned him as the leading scholar on Washington State’s 66-million-dollar domestic apparel export industry (approximately 14 percent of the total monetary value of U.S. apparel exports nationwide). Dr. Knox’s latest article was published last year in the Journal of Business Diversity and is entitled Unlocking Humanity: Why the Key to a Post-Racial Future May Lie in Antiquity.
