Fashioning Success: Devyn Britton’s Journey from EWU to Business Ownership

Portrait

Devyn Britton will graduate this spring with a double major in Business Management and Business Entrepreneurship, with a minor in Theatre. Thanks to the hands-on experiences she has enjoyed at EWU, she has already made connections that will help her start her own business in theatrical costume design – all in three years!

Devyn has received scholarship support each year from the University Scholarship Fund, which enabled her in part to study abroad with the University of Arts: London program, working in the fashion design business. In addition, Devyn has worked across campus with the Commercialization Academy, which she says, “has allowed me to make connections outside of my interests that still pertain to my future in the business world.”

Devyn has also learned the value of leadership and networking through her involvement with ASEWU and as the VP of Community for EWU Panhellenic Council. She has also gained work experience doing event planning with Eagle Entertainment, EWU’s student-led programming board. With experience in business, community and leadership – we can hardly wait to see what Devyn will do next!
