McKenzie Riffner is on a fast track to business success! As a first-year student studying business and human resources, McKenzie feels she is lucky to have four scholarships that have paid for her fall quarter with additional funding for winter and spring. Without those scholarships, McKenzie would not have been able to enroll at EWU, and perhaps not attend college.
McKenzie chose Eastern for the depth of learning opportunities, where “I am especially excited to be learning more about business to prepare myself for my future career.” At EWU, she has met professors with a breadth of knowledge she never imagined, in small class sizes where she has been able to engage with the business curriculum from her very first quarter.
McKenzie loves the size of the university. “It’s not too small,” she says, “but the classes are personal.” At the same time, EWU is not so big that she feels lost. She plans to pursue more scholarships to support her studies in the years ahead, especially those that will help her identify internships and real-world learning opportunities in the community.
