Eagle4Life, Randi Holm ’04, founder of Holm Made Toffee Co. took it upon herself to fly with Giving Joy Day. The EWU Office of Alumni Relations spread joy to over 10 Eagle-owned businesses during the last week of March through Friday, April 1.  

One business in particular, Holm Made Toffee Co. had recently launched a new Birthday Cake flavor. In celebration of Eastern’s 139th birthday, Randi took it upon herself to create a new page on her website for the week leading up to Giving Joy Day.  She made custom Giving Joy Day labels for her Birthday Cake and Original flavored toffee and stated she would be donating 13.9% of total orders made that week back to the EagleOn initiative. 

Randi shared her Eastern story; how she, a first-generation college student may not be where she is today as an entrepreneur and small business owner without scholarships. Her support of the EagleOn initiative during Giving Joy Day was inspirational. Her donations along with the many other donors to EagleOn is helping keep Eagles on the path to degree completion, this retention fund addresses one of the toughest challenges Eastern students face: ensuring they stay in school and earn their degree.
