Joining in on the Fun- Eagle Entertainment

Hey, Eagles, Families, and Friends!

Thank you for your student’s continued support. They have gone through move-in, Welcome Week, First Day of School, Homecoming, midterms, holidays, and more! All of those events can take a toll on a student’s mental health. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from studying, and that’s where Eagle Entertainment comes in!

About Us:

Eagle Entertainment is EWU’s student-led programming board that organizes events throughout the year for the Cheney campus. They get paid to put o n fun events for students. Some examples include Paint & Sip, Fall Pumpkin Carving, Silent Disco, Eagle Spa, Build-an-Eagle (similar to Build-a-Bear), game shows, concerts, and more!

All of the events that Eagle Entertainment puts on are free to current Eastern students. All they need to provide is their EagleCard! Eagle Entertainment understands fun:

• Eagle Entertainment spends over $60,000 each year putting on events.
• This year, Eagle Entertainment gave away 400 pumpkins at Sip & Carve.
• Eagle Entertainment purchases over 50 dozen cookies and 500 gallons of drinks.
• Eagle Entertainment has put on 27 events this quarter.
• We have had almost 2,000 students attend our events so far this year!

Upcoming Events:

The quarter is almost over, but our events are still happening! Our final event this quarter will be on Friday, December 6th. From 12-3PM, in PUB 317, we will be giving away 150 Build-an-Eagle kits, serving cookies and hot chocolate, and streaming Elf. Tell your students about it!

As a special surprise, I’m sharing with you our January calendar of events. No one outside of Eagle Entertainment has seen it! Tell your students to come to these free events! They can find out more information on Eaglesync or on our Instagram!

Join the Fun:

Most of our events are open to the public. Current Eastern students get to attend for free, faculty, staff, family, friends, and community members can attend our events for $5. If you’re on-campus when we are throwing an event, come join us!

If you aren’t able to attend, but want to let your student know you’re thinking about them, you can get them an Eagle Entertainment care package! Head on over to our Swag Shop to buy goodies for yourself or someone else! The package is $50 and includes:

There’s always something happening on-campus. It might not be Eagle Entertainment, but our events calendar is always full of activities for students to enjoy. Encourage your student to visit Eaglesync. They just might find what they’ve been looking for all along!
