New ‘Degree Works Planner’ to Chart Academic Progress

EWU just switched academic planning tools for students. The new Degree Works Planner has benefits such as being connected to a student’s degree audit. With this major upgrade, faculty, students, and staff no longer must have two windows open for academic planning. 

The “Still Needed” section of the planner shows the missing course requirements based on the student’s degree audit. As the student plans off the “Still Needed” section, the course is removed from this section showing only the remaining “Still Needed” courses. This process restricts duplication of courses and ensures a timely pathway to graduation. 

And now that students can declare their major at any time, Degree Works Planner will have the most accurate information based on the student’s intended pathway.
