In honor of Black History Month in February, Eastern Washington University’s Africana Studies has organized a wide range of events with plenty of opportunities to learn and connect with the campus community.
Russell Thomas ’13 is senior design engineer for electrical systems inside a 600,000-square-foot building that is part of a $12 billion project to construct a chip manufacturing plant for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s (TSMC) first U.S. campus.
The sessions were led by Larry Goldstein, a consultant who will guide EWU’s strategic resource allocation process. Goldstein provided a framework of what he says will be a transparent, fair and collaborative review of Eastern’s current academic and support services.
Eastern Washington University is offering a free screening of the short film, First Time Home, co-directed by Noemi Librado-Sanchez, a first-year student. The screening will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Showalter Hall Auditorium (on the second floor).
EWU’s School of Education is opening a clothing closet to ensure its students have professional attire to embark on their careers in the classroom. The closet will be open by appointment for students, starting in January.
